I was eating some roasted almonds (Emerald brand) for snack today, and I noticed one of the almonds had 2 or 3 very small holes in it. I decided to cut open the almond and inside one of the tiny holes, it looked like there was webbing...I did not see any worms/bugs though. I have already eaten about 1/2c of these almonds, but now I am wondering if I should throw the rest away...Also, what kinds of bugs infect almonds? If I've already accidentally eaten one, are they harmful? Do they spread disease? I am really grossed out right now!
