What's the differenced if Judas died Before or After the crucifixion of Jesus?

How would one go about determining when Judas died? The above question could determine if Judas went to heaven or hell. Some Bible scholars interpret Matthew 27:3 as saying Judas repented & made restitution Before the crucifixion. Judas' only recorded sin was stealing money from the money box. In Matthew 27:4 Judas declared Jesus innocent & confessed his sin. Judas was called "friend" by Jesus at the betrayal. A word for friend indicating partnership, comrade, companion. In other words, there was a partnership of some sort involved with this "betrayal." Give some feedback on this.
