What lessons can be learned from ares-the greek god of war?

To have conviction. When you believe in something you give it EVERYTHING you have and NOTHING short of that will do. His job was to inflict casualties among the human population in the name of the God Zeus, I personally can not think of a more honorable charge. Ares, stood his ground when faced with adversity and used gross determination to complete his mission. We as humans could use a lot more of his drive and utter determination. If we all lived as courageously and honorably, we would have no need for an over-bearing and stifling government.
