If the fairness doctrine was still in place would more people have been better informed?

Sure, but the only people who repeatedly call for the fairness doctrine are the same people who rally against it. Cons always believe it's liberals who demand the fairness doctrine....but Cons are the ones who blame everything on the media, constantly calling every media outlet and story 'biased', and whining repeatedly when people refuse to go on their programming.
