Refusing Husbands Christmas gifts...?
My husband and I got married 6 mo ago 4 months into the marriage we had a bad argument and he decided to leave. The police was called by me, because he was so out of control and I wanted them there to facilitate the move out this is what they did. After 1 wk he said that he didn't want to be married anymore and said that he was filing for divorce, and has not come back to get his personal belongings (he only took his clothes when he left) and havent talked to my husband since. Its been about almost 2 mo. Since he left he has been sending 100.00 dollars maybe every two weeks just send checks payable to me, Before we got married he left me and I allowed him back, with counseling and he went, but quit going after we got married, he promised my child that he would never leave him again and I thought we were on the right path untill we got married and he left again this time with no contact made to me since except with the checks of every two weeks well. He left his personal belongings and have not even made attempts to get any of it back ( nice things). Then he sends christmas gifts threw the mail . I'm not sure what he is doing but I have decided to refused the gifts as my son does not want them he is 12 he said because he don't like that he keeps lying on his promises to him. Did I do the right thing as my first priority I feel is to protect my childs feelings and I don't want him in anymore pain as he has watched me go threw for the last 3 1/2 years. I'm not sure what my husband is doing as he said that he didn't want to be married anymore, sending gifts and money, but wont come pick up his belongings from my house what do you all think and did i do the right things by refusing the gifts? Serious and mature answers please
