Question about people in big cities?

Big cities like London are different from small towns, but people are still friendly. Central London is full of tourists and to man people it's not worth the effort making eye contact, etc. But if you take somewhere like Notting Hill, then you will get to know people a bit more and people will talk to you and smile at you. But many people are wary of others because big cities are a lot more anonymous and you have to be more careful. A good way to get to know people is to join a club so that you meet people with similar interests. Pubs and bars are also places where more people are likely to chat.
